The priorities of the Alborzi Professor Clinical Microbiology Research Center are as follows:

  1. Investigation of bacterial agents and the epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic (especially drug resistance), therapeutic, and preventive aspects of diseases associated with them.

  2. Investigation of viral agents and the epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive aspects of diseases associated with them.

  3. Investigation of fungal agents and the epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive aspects of diseases associated with them.

  4. Investigation of parasitic agents and the epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic (especially drug resistance), therapeutic, and preventive aspects of diseases associated with them.

  5. Investigation of immune system activity and genetic susceptibility of patients in infectious diseases and in patients with primary and secondary immunodeficiency disorders.
